Temecula Valley Wine Country Sifted

casinos often have decent taste

Texas hold 'em is nothing but another latent app on my iPhone so when my best friend invited me to join a poker tournament on Saturday, I abruptly refused and kept myself entertained with various slot machines at our first stop in Temecula. Pechanga Resort and Casino crows one of the largest casino floors in the world but as frugal as I am, I only allocated $11 for my throw money. When BFF was done with the tourney, we drove to the wine country for dining and wine tasting.

just drink and play

The wine tour in Wilson Creek Winery and Vineyards would start every hour seemingly between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. that day. John, our sommelier at 2 p.m., was very informative and friendly.
here's a quick look at our wine tour itinerary:
1. tasting room
2. vineyard
3. stainless steel vessel facility
4. laboratory
5. cellar

I was smitten by these three wines: Almond Champagne, White Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel Port.

you've got multiple choice

Vinification is truly both scientific and artistic. It involves chemistry since glucose and other sugars interact with yeast to produce ethanol. It becomes an art because it takes someone masterful enough to concoct a beverage that sends you to indescribable places every single sip.

a family landmark

Tip: Explore what's around you! A fun trip doesn't have to be expensive or far from where you live. Temecula is about 80 miles from our house. That makes Napa Valley a 412-mile drive while Sonoma is 420 miles away. Do some research!
